A urbanização tem suas raízes não só em detalhes arquitetônicos, mas também estéticos, que compõem o cenário de uma megalópole como São Paulo. Entre esses elementos está o resultado cultural, tanto social coletivo (impresso no estilo das construções e monumentos), quanto social local (graffitis, pichações, apresentações urbanas, e exposições livres). E a beleza está justamente na mistura desses dois pólos artísticos que dividem o espaço e atenção de seus habitantes nos perímetros urbanos.
E um projeto que retrata muito bem um desses lados é o Projeto Imargem, composto por um coletivo de artistas urbanos, que se auto-denominam Agentes Marginais. Desde de 2007, o projeto tem como objetivo conversar com a população utilizando três pilares temáticos centrais por meio do Graffiti: arte, meio ambiente e convivência.
E esses artistas se encontram todos os anos, mais especificamente no mês de maio, para divulgar sua arte no encontro NIGGAZ, que já está em sua 8ª edição e que ocorre desde 2004, reunindo artistas não só da Grande São Paulo, mas também de outras cidades e estados do Brasil e do mundo.
